About EVO
Evo began in late January 2007. A quick idea thrown out amongst friends when discussing corruption within the coffee trade, it was quickly taken and put into action. Six weeks after first thought, we had a name, packaging, and most importantly 100lbs of coffee from Guatemala. Coffee that was purchased at a price higher than fair trade, a price that speaks to the true value of the product and labor that went into its cultivation–a worth-wage. Five days later, we'd sold every last bean.
At [evo], we desire to see justice in the coffee industry and restoration for its farming communities. It is simply not okay to pay farmers from 14 cents (in Ethiopia) to a $1.26 a pound (fair trade), and look away as they go hungry. A little work and a little creativity and the world can change. Yet, even a better wage isn't enough. We can do more. That's why, at [evo] every drop of profit is returned to the farming communities.
Drink Well,
